• BE/B.Tech (Agricultural / Irrigation Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Computer Science Engineering, Mechanical Engineering)
• BSc (Biology, Chemistry / Applied Chemistry, Computer Science, Geology, Mathematics / Applied Mathematics, Physics / Applied Physics, Statistics / Applied Statistics)
• BCA

Exam Centre:

Examination will be held at the Chennai centre.

Selection will be made in three successive stages i e ,

1. Written Examination
2. Physical Test (Walking Test) and
3. Oral Test in the shape of an interview.

Final selection will be made on the basis of the total marks obtained by the candidates at the Written Examination and Oral Test taken together subject to the rule of reservation of appointments and subject to qualifying Physical Test.

• Applications should be sent in the prescribed format.

• OMR application form along with an Information Brochure containing General Instructions for filling up the application form, Commission’s ‘Instructions, etc. to candidates’and an envelope for sending application can be obtained from any one of the Head Post Offices or Selected Sub- Post Offices (284 Nos.) in Tamil Nadu / Puducherry on payment of Rs.30 (Rupees Thirty only). OMR application forms can also be obtained in person from the Sales Counter of the office of the Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission, No.1. Greams Road, Chennai – 600 006 only on cash payment of Rs.30 (Rupees Thirty only).

• Candidates can apply Online and should keep ready the Postal Receipt for Rs.130 (

• Candidates applying Online should send the applications (i.e. The printout generated from the web site and signed by the candidates) with the Postal Receipt along with attested copies of Certificates so as to reach the Commission’s office on or before 23.12.2010.

• The facility of applying Online will be closed on 21-12-2010.
